iSPAN is a new technology application designed for use with regional SPAN data sets to develop a petroleum system view of the exploration potential in a basin. The basis for iSPAN is that geological and geophysical models are dependent, which we express through physical models. This allows us to gain valuable geologic insight during geophysical processing, which we present as basin models. The basin models represent integrated geological and geophysical models, and they shorten the time to play and fairway analysis. The models can be customized or supplemented with new or proprietary information to form the basis for a detailed (petrophysical, lithological and thermodynamic) regional evaluation of a basin.
